- In the Social Work/Microfinance site we work with women from various communities in Desamparados. Our activities include bible studies, craft projects, and discussing various topics related to our communities and business training. We also offer loans to help women begin or expand their businesses. During the week, different people in our communities lead workshops on sewing, cooking, and exercising. Through all of these activities, women are encouraged to care for their health, families, and communities. We also maintain contact with different girls that were previously part of a teenage mothers group. Our hope for the site is to see how lives and families are transformed as women discover their value and identity in Christ, receive love and support as they reach personal and business goals, and provide a safe community for women who would otherwise be isolated.
