This week’s encouraging story comes from the sports site in Guatemala.

The Sports site works with kids and youth in Magdalena, San Miguel, Buena Vista, and El Tablón. This site incorporates a variety  of recreational activities with the goal of teaching, mentoring and ultimately seeing the lives of young people changed for Christ.

A young boy named Pedro has been attending the site for some time now. He undoubtedly has an incredible gift when it comes to sports and it has been a joy for our site leader to watch him excel in these activities. BUT it has been an even greater joy to see Pedro begin memorizing scripture, attend discipleship group and discover his calling that the Lord has for his life.

How cool is it that we get to see God change lives in something as simple as playing sports?! There are 56 kids at the site that are attending consistently. Join us in prayer that one-by-one, each child that attends the site would come to know Jesus and accept Him as their Lord and Savior. That they then would go out and proclaim the gospel and change the lives of those that live in the homes, community and beyond.
