Gricelda Boniche Melendez, a woman from Masaya, Nicaragua, recounts her remarkable journey of healing and transformation. It began when her nephew Milton told her about a sports ministry that not only trained soccer players but also focused on biblical teachings and prayer.

Gricelda had previously played soccer, but a knee injury forced her to stop. Adding to her burdens, she also had a uterine tumor that was scheduled for surgery, and she was struggling with severe depression to the point of attempting suicide.

Seeking solace, Gricelda visited the sports ministry, where she found comfort in the biblical lessons and the power of prayer. During one prayer session, she experienced a mysterious “fire” in her knee, which turned out to be the healing touch of God. In another prayer, when some American visitors prayed for her, she felt the same sensation in her abdomen.

A month later, Gricelda’s doctor informed her that the uterine tumor had miraculously disappeared. Though she still battles depression, it is not as debilitating as before. Gricelda now sees herself as a “precious treasure” in God’s eyes, and she eagerly anticipates her visits to the sports ministry, which provide her with a profound sense of peace and tranquility.

Inspired by her experiences, Gricelda has now joined the self-defense program, learning boxing techniques. Her goal is to complete this training and then become a boxing instructor, using her skills to help other girls struggling with anxiety and depression.

Gricelda is deeply grateful to God and this ministry for the transformative impact it has had on her life. Her story is a testament to the power of faith, community, and the healing hand of God.
