As the pandemic continues and stay-at-home orders for most countries remain, our work in each base is looking much different. However, we are blessed to continue finding ways to serve God in the communities to bring light and hope. Today’s story comes from Noah, our Field Director in Guatemala!
Good morning from Guatemala!
While things in the United States and other countries continue to open back up, here in Guatemala, we are still under curfew and quarantine. I wanted to share with you how proud I am, as a Field Director, by how our staff here have handled this situation.
I am always amazed by their dedication to the communities, discipling through any means at their disposal. We have heard stories of families being reconciled, students taking leadership and ownership of helping their communities, people accepting Jesus, and people reaching out to our staff to help them work through spiritual, social, and emotional needs. While they have acknowledged the new challenges we face, they continue to trust that God is at work in the midst, and are eager to join his mission any way that they can. They have chosen a position of surrender, thanksgiving, and praise. They are sacrificing for one another both in prayer and financially.
- We act with intentionality
- We serve one another
- We live as a family
