It’s been a busy but fruitful summer here in Costa Rica! We welcomed many teams who were a huge help and blessing to our staff. After team season, we were grateful for a short break to rest and recharge so we can finish the rest of the year strong in our ministry sites.

  While things tend to be a little calmer when we don’t have teams, this year we decided to mix things up. After working hard to raise funds to remodel our office space, we’ve officially begun demolition! The remodel will be completed in two phases.

• Phase One will transform apartments on our property into our new Creative Arts Workshop and Microfinance ministry sites. The old hardware store is being con

  

• verted into an open salon and kitchen.

• Phase Two will focus on the current Creative Arts Workshop, Microfinance site, and offices—creating more parking, a small green space, and better office space for our staff.

Our whole team is thrilled that this big project is finally underway! Although only two of our ministry sites are directly impacted, the finished remodel will bless all of us by providing more usable space, a larger kitchen, additional offices, and even a place to host our team banquets.

Of course, with excitement also comes a little nervousness. We have the funds to get started but are still working to raise what’s needed to bring the project to completion.
