Internship Start Dates: January or August (Program length ranges from 4-9 months)

Description: The Special Needs school, located in the city of Jarabacoa, serves 25-30 students with a wide variety of special needs. The site seeks to help students grow academically but also helps teach them critical life skills that are important to their development. Interns typically are responsible for helping with PE classes, art classes, and assisting teachers in their classrooms.

Skills/Background Needed: Must be patient, flexible and willing to serve in any way needed.

Description: In Special Education, the intern will assist our site leaders in working with special needs children from the community. This will include teaching them to read and write, helping with physical therapy, playing games, Bible stories and small field trips.
