At the Trade School, incredible things continue to unfold, particularly with the arrival of the fourth group for the electromechanics course. Among them is Geovanny Hondoy, a 43-year-old from Diriomo, 15 kilometers away from Masaya. Despite his initial doubts about learning new skills at his age, Geovanny, a father to a 16-year-old daughter, has embraced this chance. He used to work as a taxi driver, but now, he’s pursuing his long-held interest in electromechanics, showing that it’s never too late to follow your dreams.
God’s grace has touched Geovanny and his family. His wife and daughter have been able to pursue education through jewelry classes at a local social work site. This opportunity has sparked a significant transformation, challenging the typical expectation that a 43-year-old family man like Geovanny might not return to school. However, with renewed purpose and God’s guidance, he is now planning to establish a workshop in Diriomo, where he resides, once he finishes his courses.
This story reminds us that to God, we are incredibly valuable. In fact, so valuable that God sacrificed His own son for us. It also teaches us that it’s never too late to chase our dreams if they align with God’s will. The most crucial aspect, however, is having God’s support while we remain in His grace. There’s a common belief that God may not respond to our needs directly, but He does respond when we actively seek Him. His teachings encourage us to prioritize seeking the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and by doing so, everything else will follow.
Psalm 37:3-6 Trust in the Lord, and do good; And you shall dwell in the earth, and feed on the truth. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he will grant you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, and trust in him; and he will. He will exhibit your righteousness as light, and your righteousness as noon day.
