Can you imagine growing up with a learning disability without anyone to help you with basic skills like reading and writing?

In the states, we take for granted that we have schools systems equipped to care for these students. In countries, like Guatemala, children like Ingrid get left behind to suffer on their own.

This has been a reality for a young girl. UNTIL NOW.

Today we want to share with you the story of a 21 year old woman named Ingrid, who is living in a way she never thought possible.
For the last seven years, Ingrid has been coming to the Special Education and Physical Therapy Center. When she first started attending class, she did not know how to read or write and struggled with fine motor skills. With time, Ingrid

started learning vowels and words and today, she can read sentences. She has also been working on her fine motor skills during cooking activities and can now walk from her house to the site.

She is Becoming Independent.

It has been exciting to see her become a young woman that is outgoing, affectionate, mischievous and joyful. Ingrid now wants to spread the love of Jesus to her friends and family. She has had tremendous growth in her relationship with God. Ingrid is an
example to the other students in class as she sings with great passion when praising our God and steps out in faith as she prays boldly for her family.

Thank God for the life of Ingrid. We look forward to seeing God’s plan for her life unfold. Would you pray with us that she would continue to be a light at the Special Education site and that her testimony would impact the lives of the other students and that they would accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
