Why settle for the same old college experience? At the Global Bridge, you’ll take your education to the next level—living in the Dominican Republic, serving in ministry, and taking classes that connect directly to what you’re doing every day. Learn in real-world, cross-cultural contexts where your studies come alive and your faith grows stronger.
At the Global Bridge, learning is fun, relevant, and life-changing:
- Take classes while you do ministry in the Dominican Republic.
- Learn through classes that connect directly to your ministry experiences
- Choose courses that align with your passions, academic goals, and future career
On the Global Bridge, you’ll take at least 9 credits per semester, but most students earn 12–15—adding up to 18–30 credits for the year. You’ll take Cross-Cultural Practicum in the fall and World Cultures in the spring, designed to help you thrive in your cross-cultural experience. The rest of your courses are completed online through Crown and tailored specifically to fit your academic and career goals.
Academic FAQ’s
Each semester students will
- take three-four classes (9-12 credits)
- take one required face-to-face course directly related to your Global Bridge experience
- ICS 3622: Cross-cultural Practicum (3 credits, fall)
- ICS 3619: World Cultures – the Dominican Republic (3 credits, spring)
- take 2-3 online courses (an academic advisor will help you choose courses from Crown’s online catalog that are best for your academic and career goals)
- take Spanish language classes, which are offered at every Spanish level (at the end of the program, students can take CLEP Tests to obtain up to 9 credits that can be transferred to most other colleges)
