Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Bakersfield, CA and now live in Visalia, CA.
Describe your role with SI
I have the privilege of working in the Students International Service Center in Visalia, CA. My job is to recruit new team leaders who will take students on a short-term mission trip with SI.
How long have you been working with SI?
I have been working with SI for just over 2 ½ years.
What was your first experience with SI?
My first experience with SI was on 13-day outreach to Guatemala with college students. I fell in love with the SI Guatemala staff and the way SI is integrating short term missions with long term impact. I remember flying home from Guatemala wanting to tell everyone they needed to go on an outreach with Students International! God is good… now I get to do that every day for my job!
What is your favorite part of your work?
I love sharing about the mission and vision of SI with people that have never heard about it!
Do you have a favorite verse? What is it?
Micah 6:8 “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
