“It is hard to believe that we just completed our 10th summer of ministry. God has done so many amazing things in the last ten years that I could write volumes. If you had asked me in 2000 to dream what SIDR might look like in 10 years, I would not have been able to imagine the ways God has blessed us. In addition to the new facility we now enjoy, we also now have 15 ministry sites. This includes our three newest: micro finance, women’s sports, and our own physical therapy site. God has given us amazing opportunities to share the Good News.
Lately, we are thrilled about some new opportunities for us. We have finally moved into our new staff office area. We have not had a place for our staff to work since the spring of 2006. We used some makeshift areas and our staff has been very patient. But now we are enjoying a spacious new work area that is functioning very efficiently. Secondly, we have found someone to again lead our construction site. Rudy Rosario who has worked on and off for us for almost ten years will be our new site leader. Rudy will be starting with us as soon as we can help him raise the necessary staff support he needs to come on full time. We have also introduced a new style of construction that is using Styrofoam panels instead of block style construction [as in the photo above]. This style is equally as strong but much cheaper, faster, and also provides more opportunities for the students to gain good work experiences. Praise God for all He has done and is going to do in the future.”
