Nicaragua
Nicaragua is bordered on the north by Honduras, on the south by Costa Rica, on the east by the Caribbean Sea, and on the west by the Pacific Ocean. It is a rich green tropical land of mountains, lots of volcanoes, huge lakes, fabulous rivers, magic lagoons, lush rain forests, old colonial towns, archeological treasures, natural wonders, and broad sun swept beaches. SI's ministry in Nicaragua is located 40 minutes southeast of the capital city of Managua, in a city called Masaya. Masaya is a city with an immense amount of poverty and the needs seem endless. Students International's ministry in Masaya began in 2012 and the full-time staff continue to develop new ministry sites and build relationships in the communities so that the love of Jesus can be shared!
