Dylan is a bright, energetic boy who is active in the Kids Club, he is 10 years old with a curious mind and lives in the Buena Vista community with his parents and younger sister. A year ago Dylan began attending the kids club every Wednesday afternoon, this is a welcoming place with colorful walls and comfortable chairs where children come and learn about essential health care practices and hear about Jesus through interactive stories and activities, developing confidence through public speaking opportunities and making meaningful relationships with both peers and caring adult mentors.One day, I (Dr. Celia) asked Dylan, would you like to pray to open the meeting? Dylan answered with hesitation in his voice: “I don’t know how to pray. My parents never told me about the Bible and pray either, and they don’t go to church”. But, little by little he became excited to learn about Jesus especially through Bible stories that featured brave characters like David and Daniel, and actually is a volunteer to pray every meeting, often standing tall with his eyes closed and hands clasped. His mom told me that Dylan have been changed since he is attending the kids club, before he was very shy and would hide behind her legs when meeting new people and now is confident to talk with others and even initiates conversations, before he didn’t smile now laugh with happiness that fills their home.
This opened a door for the whole family to follow Jesus. Actually, Dylan and his parents are now attending the local church together every Sunday.
Share the Good News with children through engaging stories and activities, encourage them to grow in their faith through daily Bible readings and prayer, and witness the joy they come from knowing and loving Jesus as they develop into confident young believers.

We ask for prayers for Dylan and family, to continue seeking God and for each kid who comes to the Kids Club, that they can open a door for the whole family to follow Jesus and experience His transformative love.
