A Batting Cage and an All-Powerful God

As the pandemic continues and countries begin to open back up, our work in each base is looking different every week. However, we are blessed to continue finding ways to serve God in the communities to bring light and hope. Today’s story comes from Dave Adams, one of our Sports Site leaders in...

Other Plans

As the pandemic continues and countries begin to open back up, our work in each base is looking different every week. However, we are blessed to continue finding ways to serve God in the communities to bring light and hope. Today’s story comes from our Microfinance Site in Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic....

The Face of Long-Term Ministry

When I close my eyes, I can still see his smiling wrinkled face. And it is his face that comes to mind when I envision the meaning of "long-term ministry." God reunites with his children in many different ways; sometimes, it is instant, through a sermon or street evangelism, but a lot of the time it's through long term investment.

Hope and Restoration in Jarabacoa

It was a rainy day in February over eight years ago when I made my way back to a dimly lit room in a small house. Dilenia, one of the associates at our Microfinance ministry in the Dominican Republic, had a son whom she wanted me to meet. And yet even with all of my preparation, no amount of research could’ve prepared me for the powerful love of God in a matter of just two weeks. God introduced me to a fresh brand of community.

Reckless Love in Jarabacoa

Today we’re hearing a story Daniel Czaplicki, the site leader at our Special Education Site in Jarabacoa. I’ve worked with the children of Centro Especial Genesis for about two years, and during that time God has taught me far more lessons through the children there than I can mention...

Ministering to DR youth through gloves, bats, and baseballs

Do you love baseball? How about as much as the young boys live, eat, and breathe baseball in Dominican Republic? It is #ministrysitemonday, and we are highlighting the Boys Sports site in Jarabacoa, which in the DR is 90% baseball! The purpose of this site is to use...
