The beginning of 2021 looks much different than in previous years. However, we are blessed to continue finding ways to serve God in the communities to bring light and hope. Today we are hearing from our Tutoring Site in Guatemala!
At the start of every year, we take time to evaluate our ministry sites and the community’s needs to explore ways in which we can adjust our work to better line up with the challenges we face. Guatemalan schools have continued to rely on virtual learning into 2021, which has created unique difficulties for the students in our communities, many of which have limited internet and technology access. We recognized an opportunity to pivot our Tutoring Site to meet these new needs with this in mind. Thanks to the generous donation of a church and their team in February, we could equip a small computer lab with 8 Chromebooks that will allow us to serve our students better.
Our Tutoring Site leader Sydnee, along with new staff couple Aaron and Brianna, have been planning and praying over the new site direction. Last week, we spent time as staff praying over Aaron, Brianna, and Sydnee and dedicated the site to the Lord. This past week we had students return to the site; they were filled with joy and excitement about the new learning opportunities that they will receive. Would you join us in praying for the Tutoring Site and the kids that will be a part of their classes?
