167 About Unity...A Note from the PresidentWithin Students International, the Lord has brought together an incredible international staff to further His purposes in His Kingdom. As we grow as a mission, I am reminded of the necessity for us to work together in unity. The unity of a “team” has been a passion for me dating back to my many years in the coaching profession. A unified team that lays down individual agendas and comes together for the common goal can accomplish great things! One needs to look no further than the NBA championship won last Sunday by the Dallas Mavericks to witness how working together unselfishly can produce an amazing outcome. When we as believers have the opportunity to minister together in Kingdom work, it is our unity that validates our message. John 13:35 states, “by this all men will know that you are my disciples if you love one another.”

We in the SI family are coming through a season of great growth and expansion. It is imperative for us to be reminded of this high calling of unity. It is the desire of my heart to have this goal front and center in all aspects of our ministry both to the poor and to the outreach participants that come with us for a short term. In all we do in whatever God has called us, “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Eph. 4:3
