In 2024, we had the privilege of meeting Gilmar and Blanca, a married couple from Magdalena Milpas Altas. Both had launched their own businesses more than 10 years ago—but God had a different plan for their lives.

Gilmar is a talented tailor with over a decade of experience, specializing in the creation of custom clothing for both men and women. His wife, Blanca, has dedicated herself to preparing and selling food in their community. However, a few years ago, their family faced a very difficult season when their children became seriously ill. To cover medical expenses, they were forced to sell all their equipment, machinery, furniture, and essential work tools. As a result, they had to close their businesses.

Last year, Gilmar and Blanca applied for a loan through our Microfinance site to relaunch their businesses. After a process of searching for the necessary tools and machinery, they were granted a loan that allowed them to purchase the equipment and materials they needed to start again. God demonstrated His love and mercy through this opportunity—giving them a fresh start and renewed hope.

Throughout this journey, Blanca’s faith has been strengthened. Through regular visits from our team, we’ve had the chance to get to know her better, pray with her, and support her family. Blanca has been a pillar of strength—courageous, hardworking, and wise. She continues to fight for her family, placing her trust in God despite ongoing health challenges. She has learned to rest in His perfect plans.
