We just wrapped up our Advanced Cosmetology Course with 8 wonderful and talented students: Claudia, Rubenia, Arlen, Jamel, Ingrid, Heisel, Ana, and Martha. It’s been such a joy to walk alongside them in this season of learning and personal growth.

We’re excited to share that more than half are already working in the field—some in beauty salons, others as mobile cosmetologists, using their skills to serve their communities and support their families.

Eternal Impact Through Everyday Work

Our courses are more than just technical training—they’re opportunities to share the hope of Jesus. During this course:

• Jamel and Ingrid gave their lives to Christ! They each received a New Testament Bible and are continuing their faith journey with us.

• Martha and Heisel rekindled their relationship with God and are now walking in discipleship.

We praise the Lord for the spiritual growth happening alongside professional development. These women are stepping into their calling—both spiritually and vocationally!

Meet Meyling & Juanita

We are thrilled to introduce two new instructors for our General Cosmetology Course: Meyling and Juanita. What makes them so special? They were once students here too! Now they’re giving back by teaching and mentoring the next generation.

Meyling’s Story
In 2021, Meyling came to us during a time of financial struggle. With a husband who was a taxi driver and no foundation of faith, she felt lost and unsure of her worth. Through the Cosmetology Course and Financial Education Site, her life was transformed.
Today, she’s a confident teacher, her husband is a pastor, her children serve in church worship, and she’s about to open her very own renovated beauty salon!

Juanita’s Story
Juanita used to sell enchiladas on the street, carrying the weight of past heartbreaks and a lack of self-worth. But everything changed when she encountered Jesus and found purpose in her calling. Now, she’s a professional stylist, church speaker, and motivator for other women. She also teaches at our Social Work Site and continues to grow spiritually. (And yes—she and Meyling are now dear friends!)
