64 A Note from the President

January always brings an anticipation and expectation of another new year, and this January is no different for our mission at Students International. We began this year with our first annual new staff training weekend in Visalia, California. We had eleven new staff come to California for a very intensive time of training to focus on Jesus and share together. The new staff had the opportunity to learn more about the operations here in Visalia by meeting and exchanging information with the office staff. Seth Jurgenson, an eight year veteran Guatemala staff, was able to join us and gave valuable information regarding the on boarding of North American staff. We collectively went over the mission and vision of our unique ministry. The new staff, ranging in ages from their 20’s to their 60’s, are headed to the Dominican Republic, Guatemala and Fiji. What an exciting group of people God continues to call to this mission! I am humbled by their tender hearts and their faithfulness to follow this call. We heard many amazing stories of how God has been directing their paths to bring them to where they are today. Please pray for them as God brings them to your memory as they are in different stages of coming onboard.
