Short Term Staff

Short Term Staff have a variety of responsibilities. Their main purpose is to assist the staff in whatever way is needed. This may include translating for students, leading Bible studies, airport runs, accompanying teams on their excursion, leading worship, organizing evening activities, praying for the staff and the teams, and participating at a ministry site. Each ministry site will require different responsibilities that will be determined by the site leader. The Lord will use you in valuable ways through your service to our staff and students.

Short Term Staff Dates

Short Term Staff Qualifications

  • Personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
  • Consistent walk with the Lord for at least the last two years
  • Twenty years of age or one year of college at onset of the program
  • Commitment to the full dates of the program (in some cases, dates in Costa Rica may be flexible)
  • Preferred conversational fluency in Spanish
  • Preferred experience in the area for which you are applying
  • Participation in a previous Students International is required

Short Term Staff Program Costs

  • $200/week + travel insurance + airfare
  • Travel Insurance is about $1.20 per day
  • Airfare is usually between $400 – $750

 

Short Term Staff Costs Include

  • Room and Board
  • In Country Transportation
  • One excursion with the other summer staff
