Dr. Sara Romero serves as leader of the Health Care ministry site. Sara is native of Guatemala and started working with Students International in 2012. She is a pediatrician but because of the greater need of a medical doctor in the community she also checks adult patients. Besides meeting the physical needs she also takes the time to meet the spiritual needs of each patient. Clinic days are on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. Tuesdays and Thursdays she does other variety of things like buying medicine, checking patients on the nutritional project and she does a great job involving students into this field.
Staff with Students International raise all of their own financial support in order to stay on the mission field and serve where God has called them. You can join as staff member's support team by donating on a monthly basis or with a one-time gift. Students International is in compliance with the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) and all donations (from the US) are tax-deductible.
